Moving here from Myspace...
So, Connor says he isn't interested in a reptile themed room. He wants cars, fast cars, vintage cars, model cars and some new bedding.Aparently he is too old for dinosaurs and then, I am mortified when I went to allposters.com and he likes the car posters but he really likes the ones with the pretty girls on them. Also, he has a few girls that have crushes on him and I am trying to teach him how to handle that. Angel is actually having a pretty good summer. She has a really sweet friend named OraBelle and they have a blast together. Friends are important to ten year old girls. Sarah is trying to walk but when she falls on her bottom she yells "O" and gets up again. She is so sweet! And Spike read the other day. I watched him sit there and he grasped the meaning and then signed the word. I was screaming I was so excited and he got a kick outta that. Then we finished reading the book together. I see him meeting these goals and I am so happy for him. God I love my beautiful boy. I love them all. I love them so powerfully. So once I get batteries I'll post pics of their rooms and them as well. Ok Laters...Thursday, July 09, 2009
I finished Spike's and Sarah's room. They're amazing. I still need to hang a shelf up and paint the gate but really, I am so pleased with everything so far. The kitchen is definitely coming along beautifully. All that's left is to hang cupboard doors, put up the stucco walls and it'll be finished. The only problem with that is the budget constraints. So the kitchen probably won't even be complete for a year or so, by next summer possibly... The exterior of the house is in desperate need of a fresh coat of paint, I plan on doing that in September or October. August is Angel and Sarah's birthday party and it'll be small and informal but I am sure Angel will enjoy herself and Sarah is turning one, which she won't remember but the pics will be great. I am planning on giving gifts at the house and then the party itself is at Silver Lake, right over in Bethel. It's this really nice state park with swimming, grilling, etc... It should be fun. Hot dogs, burgers, maybe chicken, and of course a really beautiful cake. A little one for Sarah and one for everyone to share that Angel will blow out. Angel's theme is horses and Sarah's little princess/girly type things. Also, now that I know I can build really cool stuff I plan on making the shelving units for Connor and Angel. Connor's theme is dinosaurs and reptilian creatures. He wants a pet snake or turtle so maybe next birthday he can get a box turtle. Then Angel wants a horse themed room so I plan on painting the walls for her in a cream color and then hanging her shelf up, that will be a sage color. I'll have to get her bedding that matches. Anyway, their rooms are going to look great once their finished. The bathroom is getting demolished, I've been wanting to do that for years now and I plan on doing that within the next year as well. Well, I'm off. LaterMonday, June 29, 2009
I am looking forward to building Spikes new room. The measurements have been taken and the colors have been chosen. The book display unit will be beautiful. I plan on displaying all his favorite books and then I am going to encore books to get a few more. Both kids, Spike and Sarah are getting book themed rooms and then the bedding will go along with one of the rows of books. Spike chose Dora so his Dora books are displayed on top and then his bedding is Dora and his Dora Dolls will be on his bed and in his toy box. Sarah's books are so varied I'll have to get a look at all the bedding choices, Ten month olds tend to just grab what ever they can get to first and put it in their mouthes. I know her personality well enough that I can make an informed decision. As far as Connor and Angel Star are concerned, they have all their room things and they need to learn to keep their rooms clean. I plan on emptying their room completely. They each get a free standing wardrobe unit and they need to be responsible for it! I am sick of messy rooms but I figure it's inevitable with kids. If I can keep the living room, kitchen, and bathroom clean I'll be a happy bunny. Well, I am off...TTFN hoohoohoohooooooSunday, June 28, 2009
Spike chose his room decorations but I am hesitant to buy it because he wants Dora the Explorer in pink. I suppose I should just get it. I got Connor his SPiderman and Angel her Bratz and Hannah Montana. I buy him his dolls and Barbies but if I get him the girly room I am just another step towards admitting how effeminate my little boy really is. Ok, so he's incredibly beautiful and has the prettiest, glossiest hair ever. I even got him a dress up trunk. These are the things that make him happy and who am I to deny him that if it is within my power to give...Ok...I need to go finish thinking, my mind is pretty screwed right now. I suppose normal is overrated and Spike is so gentle and loving, why should I complain...Wednesday, June 24, 2009
The other day I was lamenting the fact that I have nothing of any value in my living room as far as decor is concerned. I sat down and sulked a bit and then I decided I don't like it, I have little money, I better figure it out on my own. I was inspired by Spike swinging around Sarahs room and it seemed it would be nice if Spikes area were as big as Sarahs. So I started sketching ideas and before long I was inspired in how to finish my living room. There are cool little shacks and tons of gorgeous fabrics and a really cool shelf and a ste of book display units and it's all made by me with very little costs. I love power tools and sewing.I am so glad I know how to do these things. Then while those ideas were churning I decided my kitchen could also be really pretty and I figured that with all the shells on sale at the ReStore I could apply a concrete mix to my walls and push the shells into it. he walls in my kitchen have been a source of annoyance for the past four years, I really hope this idea will finally solve that problem. Then I plan on hanging fish netting in the windows with sheer curtains over them. The closets get bamboo curtains on them or some pretty wooden doors hand painted by me. I am also planning on hanging up cupboard doors but I can decide between bamboo woven doors or plain wood I carve into and paint. Well, once my house is finally finished I plan on posting pics. I always say that, when I finally do there will be an entire photo album for my little house. I can't wait to get it finished.

I just made Jambalaya. I didn't have all the ingredients I needed but it turned out really tasty. Everyone liked it. I can't wait to go shopping and get the ingredients I need and try again. I have the exotic meats web site and I plan on ordering some crocodile meat for the Jambalaya. The only thing that I really missed was the shrimp but I used ham instead...poor piggies. I don't feel so bad about eating shrimp- and I figure the croc would eat me if he had the chance so I am eating him first. But I have a sense of guilt when I eat pigs and cows. That doesn't mean I won't eat them if it's there but I prefer guilt free meals. The Jambalaya is relatively guilt free so I really like it. The kitchen is slowly coming together, I plan on repairing the wall using concrete base and before it dries I am going to push shells into it. On the opposite wall I am covering all the borders and paint mishaps with fake leaves and the cupboard doors will finally be hung. I did finally make Spikes Totoro room but I haven't had the time/haven't felt like posting the pictures. Sarahs room is finished and then we realized there is a leak on the side of the house and it keeps getting in her room. That's gonna need to be repaired. Other than that her room looks pretty awesome. But the kitchen is really important that I finish because I really love having a kitchen and it getting cleaned and completely repaired has meant so very much to me. Jeremy put in my new sink and I am absolutely loving this sink. It rocks. I plan on building some really cool benches to go around my table but then I've planning that for a long time. It will eventually get finished and it's nothing I worry about...I'd like to do it though. Soooooo....at some point I'll post pictures, in the mean time I haven't started on any dolls as I had other needs to see to first. As mush as I know I will enjoy it, it needs to wait. Damn taxes! Ok...Later

artistic After a lot of looking and admiring I know the dolls I will be collecting and how I will make them work. I am starting the collection by using my favorite media as inspiration. Specifically Graphic Novels, Books and T.V. One shelf will be devoted to Twilight. My books and DVD and two repaints of Edward and Bella (I'm using MyScene Barbies) made by me. The next shelf will be Firefly/Serenity. The movie and series on DVD and the cast; that is Mal, Zoe, Wash, River, Simon, Kaylee, Sheperd Book, and Jane. I think those will be harder as they aren't book characters but real people. The next shelf is The Sandman series. The books and then the repaints of Death, Dream, Delirium, Desire, Despair, Destiny and Destruction. It's the first time I've ever collected anything and the first time I had a hobby- other than home repair. I also want a mini Pullip, cause they're affordable and adorable. I really love looking at the ball jointed dolls and the Tonner dolls and some Barbie Dolls are really pretty. China has a line of Barbies clled Kurhn Barbies and they're gorgeous. I am really looking forward to this. I am aware it's silly and a bit juevenile but it's fun tooWednesday, May 27, 2009
I found a really pretty naked, ball jointed doll at the thrift store. I put her in the craft supply box a while back. Then I was looking at a fairy book and became inspired. I'll post pics later, I am sewing a new outfit, doing her hair and applying a repaint. enjoy the pics once they're up...I plan on doing more of these beauties...Tuesday, May 26, 2009

busy I want a few things and if I truly dedicate myself to working on them, I can have them. For starters, I want the house and shed painted and pretty. I want my tomatoes and pepper plants hung. Topsy Turvy rocks! I also want the flower planter put together in front of the house and my annuals planted. I need to rake and I need to put up my picket fence as well. I also need to paint the house and hang my shutters. I plan on making an address sign for the house too. As for the interior, well, theres always something to do.Spike and Sarahs room are nearly complete. Connor and Angel's room needs cleaning and that's it and the kithen needs a ton of things in there but I'm attacking it slowly so I don't overwhelm myself. Jeremy got me 1500.00 sink at discount for 15.00. He happened upon it at the Hospital and they were in such a rush to get rid of it they just told him to make an offer. I mean fifteen bucks, how wesome and luck is that??? So of course I plan on posting pics of a complete house as each room is completed. And it takes so long...Well, at least I'm getting it done. Ok, I also want the other 3 Sookie Stackhouse books and I want to lose weight and I want to have a clean house. I have cool art plans as well. I got some pretty dolls I plan on dressing and displaying as Goddesses and Gods. I also want to make a poppet or more. I have so many projects to complete. At least the kids help...
